Portico Participants' Meeting at ALA | Save the Date

Dear Colleagues -

Please save the date and plan to join us for our third Portico Participants' Meeting during this year's ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA. The meeting - open to those interested in learning more about Portico and to all participating libraries and publishers - will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2008, in the Marriott Anaheim Hotel. A continental breakfast will be offered at 8:00 am, and the program will run from 8:30 - 10:00 am.

Topics on this year's program include:

Preserving e-books and digitized newspapers;
Addressing libraries' local preservation needs;
Results from 2008 survey on libraries' e-journal preservation perceptions and strategies;
Report on e-journal preservation progress.

A more detailed agenda will be announced as we approach the meeting date, but I hope that you will mark your calendars now and plan to attend. If you have any questions about the program or Portico, please send an email to participation@portico.org.
