BITECA is now preserving 40+ OA e-journals with Portico
BITECA is preserving Open Access e-journals with Portico, ensuring that their content will be safe and secure into the future.
Created in 2006, BITECA (meaning Bit: Minimum unit of information, and Teca: Place where something is kept, properly ordered and with a specific purpose) is dedicated to organizing and managing the places where information is stored, whatever the type or format. They’ve worked with multiple entities in the implementation of solutions such as OJS software (Open Journal Systems) for scientific journals, PMB software for libraries and documentation centers of different levels, consultancy and application development in open source as well as the digitalization of both historical and contemporary documents.
