Access alert: OA journals from De Gruyter, Dedicated Juncture Researcher’s Association, and Manchester University Press

Portico is now providing access to content from 38 additional journals. These titles are no longer available through their publisher or a successor; therefore, they have “triggered” and are freely available to the community via the Portico archive. These titles were all originally published Open Access and will remain Open Access through Portico. Portico to preserve Wiley digital collections 

Beginning in 2021, Portico will preserve Wiley Digital Archives collections to ensure that content will be secure and available into the future. Wiley Digital Archives content will be preserved for ongoing access together with the Wiley journals, book, and Cochrane Library content that is already in Portico. Wiley Digital Archives restores, digitizes, and catalogs content from academic and scientific societies and universities, making centuries-old, unique primary source content accessible anywhere in the world. 18 new publishers, including 17 OA, join Portico

Publisher participation at Portico continues to grow: we now preserve content from 895 publishers. Recently, we welcomed 18 additional publishers to the archive, ensuring that their content will be secure and available in the future. Of these new publishers, 17 are Open Access, bringing our total to 410 OA publishers across journals and ebooks. To date, we have had 145 trigger events; 120 of these are Open Access. Over the past year, Portico expanded its digital archive and collaborated on important research and projects to prepare for future preservation needs.
