UCL Press is now preserving Open Access e-journals with Portico
Established as the UK’s first fully Open Access university press in 2015, UCL Press publishes both traditional peer-reviewed scholarly works and innovative research outputs.
Based at one of the world’s leading research universities, the University College London, a public research institution in England that has been producing scholarly publications in multiple disciplines and has produced twenty-nine Nobel Prize winners for their research, UCL Press makes all of its books and journals available in Open Access form to download freely in PDF form or read online anywhere in the world. They can be downloaded freely from UCL Press’s website or from the many other platforms where they are distributed.
“We are excited to be partnering with Portico to ensure we provide comprehensive digital preservation of our OA scholarly e-journal output,” said Ian Caswell, journals manager at UCL Press. “Portico very easily and clearly made it possible to put in place a practical and cost-effective solution for the university press.”
