University of Colorado’s Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health is preserving OA e-journals with Portico
University of Colorado’s Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health (AI/ANs) is preserving their open access e-journal, American Indian and Alaska Native Mental Health Research (AIANMHR), with Portico, ensuring that their content will be secure and available into the future.
The mission of the Centers for American Indian and Alaska Native Health is to promote the health and well-being of AI/ANs, of all ages, by pursuing research, training, continuing education, technical assistance, and information dissemination within a biopsychosocial framework that recognizes the unique cultural contexts of this special population. Their professionally refereed scientific journal contains empirical research, program evaluations, case studies, unpublished dissertations, and other articles in the behavioral, social, and health sciences which clearly relate to the health of AI/ANs.
“We are pleased to be working with Portico’s preservation services,” said Sara Mumby, journal manager for AIANMHR. “Their services help us meet our responsibilities as an indexed journal in PubMed and ensure that future readers can always access our journal’s full text content.”
